Its with great sadness that TRUFC have received the sad news of the passing of John Evans.

John was a very well respected member of Tamworth RUFC acting as Chairman and as a mentor for many current and past members.

John added to our Rugby family through his son, Ian, and grandchildren, Thomas & Jack, playing in our junior section.

Our thoughts go out to Karen, Ian and Jackie and all of the family and friends of the Evans family.

Family announcement and funeral details:

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John Evans on 2nd May 2025. He died peacefully in hospital after a short illness.

John’s funeral will take place on Friday 13th June at 1.30pm. Lichfield and District Crematorium (Fradley).

Family have requested no flowers. John’s preferred charity is Cancer Research UK and donations can be made to these through the link below.
