Sweet Reward for Hard Work:
After weeks of effort, learning, and determination, the Tamworth U16 girls finally got the result they’ve been working so hard for — their first win of the season, and it was richly deserved!
The girls showed real progress in every area of their game, combining grit in defence with creativity in attack to secure a confident 37–19 victory over Telford.

Teamwork and Spirit:
Thanks to Izzy, Maddie, Harriet, and Isla each spending time helping Telford. Fair play to them for embodying the true spirit of rugby — teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship.

Tamworth started brightly, running hard and showing intent to keep the ball alive through clever offloads and support play. While risky at times, this high-tempo, offloading style paid dividends - creating space, continuity, and opportunities to attack from all areas of the pitch.

Defensively, the improvement was noticeable. Line speed was sharper, tackles more committed, and although the breakdown remains a work in progress, the team is clearly heading in the right direction.

The Tries:
It was a real team effort on the scoreboard, with seven different players crossing the line — a testament to how much the squad has developed in its attacking variety and confidence.
