The women's rugby world cup is being hosted in England and kicks off on Friday 22nd August, with hosts England playing USA.

England are in pool A along with: USA, Samoa and Australia, a total of 16 teams split in to 4 pools are competing in the 2025 tournament.

A feast of rugby to watch from 22nd August with 24 pool games being played upto 7th September, then Quarter Finals will be played 13th & 14th September followed by Semi Finals 19th & 20th September, the FINAL is Saturday 27th September!

England enter the tournament topping the world rankings so are one of the favorites to win the 2025 tournament, along with reigning champions New Zealand, France are also in the mix.

Tamworth RUFC are planning events to celebrate and promote this once in a generation home world cup tournament, to spread the word and increase support for the national team, grow community participation and engagement whilst promoting the benefits of team sport to health, wellbeing and self-confidence - whilst having lots of fun and making friends! More details will be posted for these events over the coming weeks.
