Town too strong for Stoke

1ST HALF 19 v 0

Tamworth were up for this game from the very first whistle and nearly scored from their first attack but were denied but it did not take long for Tamworth to break down the Stoke defence through Tyler Hathaway and Brad Fox converting. The second try was not long coming with Jake Thomas storming through the Stoke defence from near on the half way line to cross the line in the corner. It was all Tamworth now but for some dogged defence by Stoke, Tamworth would have scored again, they did not have to wait long however and with a couple of side steps from 20 meters out saw Joe Collier cross the line under the posts, Brad Fox kicked the conversion.

2nd HALF 47 v 10

The second half was a bit like groundhog day with Tamworth on top straight from the kick off and it did not take long for Kadi Douglas to score from 10 yards out after a neat move, Brad Fox again converted. It was all Tamworth and it didn’t take long for Joe Collier to score his second try of the game Brad Fox again converted. Brad Fox scored a try of his own and duly kicked the conversion, Tamworth took their foot off the gas and allowed Stoke to run in a try, Tamworth responded through Tyler Hathaway scoring his 2nd of the game and Brad Fox kicked the conversion, Stoke scored the final points with the final consolation try.
