The Tamworth u18 girls travelled to Worcester for a game that ended with a close score of 33-29. Five tries were scored by both teams but Worcester managed to convert two more of their tries than Tamworth. Constant gusts of winds definitely impacted the game, with the kicks being carried and the posts shaking.
First to score was Tamworth, Ayala being the one to put the ball over the line, and Brogan being the one to convert it. The girls followed it up with another try from Ayala, this one going unconverted. Worcester, however, fought back with two tries and a conversion to even the score for half time 12-12.
Another converted try came from Worcester to start the second half, taking the score to 12-19. It was matched with a try from Lucie and another conversion from Brogan. The score then became built up on Worcester’s side to bring it to 19-33. Two more tries came from Lucie and Becky as full time was looming. The final score was 33-29, a close and even game.
Dames of the game were Lucie for the forwards due to her control of the game and her attacking efforts and Pip for her kicking game, running lines and defensive tackles.
